Bela is a NY-based, Filipino-American artist, who lives at the intersection of acting and classical music. She recently played Skintite in a workshop of Len Jenkin’s VOX HUMANA. She’s also collaborated on new works with Ed Valentine, Beekeepers’ Theater and New Circle Theater Company. Recent credits include short films (one of which she co-wrote), Mean Girl Murders, and a Kia commercial. Bela is a Stella Adler Studio graduate; and she has a bachelor’s in viola performance, under the tutelage of Karen Ritscher. Gary John has staged over 250 productions nationally. Recently: Fiddler on the Roof at Virginia Stage, Honky Tonk Angels at Capital Repertory, Buddy at the Argyle, and a Johnson & Johnson corporate show (Paris and Bangkok). He directed the national tour of Footloose; the World Premiere of Ching’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Opera Memphis; Albany Records) and numerous productions at the St. Louis MUNY, Broadway Sacramento, the Fulton, Barrington Stage, Queens Theatre, Phoenix Theatre and Cabrillo Stage.
